Isabella’s going as Sleeping Beauty for Halloween – Courtesy of Wholesale Costume Club! + Giveaway [CLOSED]

Can you believe it’s already almost time to start thinking about Halloween? Is it just me…or has 2012 flown by? It feels like I just celebrated Christmas, and you know how it is. Halloween means Thanksgiving is right around the corner….which means that Christmas is right around the corner, as well! Yikes! Halloween is one of my favorite holidays, and this year will be Isabella’s 3rd Halloween! She has been a Disney character every year. Minnie Mouse for her 1st Halloween and Belle from Beauty and the Beast for her 2nd. My girl loves wearing dresses, especially ones with frill and tulle. Isabella is a bonafide girly girl.

Wholesale Costume Club kindly sent Isabella a Sleeping Beauty costume to try on and review. She is obsessed with the Disney Princesses, and she immediately knew which princess matched this dress. Aurora!

I chose the 3T/4T size. I don’t know if it’s just Isabella, but some areas of this wholesale girls costume fit better than others. The sleeves are tight, but the neckline and chest were falling off. If she doesn’t grow into it, I will be pinning it so her chest isn’t revealed. I’m teaching my daughter to be modest, so not pinning it is NOT an option.

The dress is beautiful, just like my daughter! It is full of frills and femininity! The sleeves seem like they would be itchy because of the material, but she handled it rather well. They’re a bit too long, and she kept pushing it back towards her elbows. She might have to do that anyways because I predict October to still be hot.

While the dress is beautiful, I do wish that there were buttons in the back instead of velcro. I have a rambunctious kid, and velcro doesn’t hold up. However, the colors are bright and vibrant…just like Aurora’s was in Sleeping Beauty. The hot pink satin top, light pink skirt, gold trim and white collar is a perfect replica!

haahaha, most definitely this one- the brick house dress. The song “She’s a brick hooouse, she’s migh-ty, mighty…” happens to be ‘my song’/codename among my friends from an epic hot body contest at a club I won in which I was the only one who didn’t let it ALL hang out! College years, sigh, the best $400 I made & one of those awesome moments I actually had witnesses to confirm. Anyway, yes–this costume for sure.

I found an adorable cowgirl costume on sale last year so I would probably go with the Gun Slinger adult Costume for my husband!

  1. […] Isabella is going as Sleeping Beauty this Halloween. I have deliberated and come to the decision that I might be in the market for another costume. Why? Well…we have more than just ONE party to go to. She can’t possibly be seen in the same costume now, can she? That will cramp her diva style! I’ve searched far and wide through catalogs, in stones and on various websites for the perfect girl costume. These are the final 10. Might even give you some ideas yourself […]
