What Bella Got For Christmas!

I am ridiculously late with this post, but it’s better late than never.

On Christmas Eve, we normally exchange gifts to and from each other. Unfortunately, due to Bella being sick, she was only able to open two presents before drifting off to sleep. We just piled those presents in with Santa’s presents, but made sure that Bella read the tags on each present. Thankfully, she felt better by Christmas morning and was able to open up all her presents with so much energy.

As you can tell from the above photos, she was still sickly. She had a mild eye infection that only lasted a day or so, but it still made her eye look puffy. First, she discovered her two stockings (one Ariel, one Belle) with plenty of small presents inside – like various bling bags and candy.

She was so excited to pick up each present one by one from underneath the Christmas Tree. She expressed an incredible amount of gratitude for each present she received. I can’t count how many times she exclaimed “I LOVE IT”, “This is what I always wanted”, and “Thank you Santa/Mommy/Dennis”!

I see a little peek of something Shopkins!

She received a Shopkins Mystery Box from her Grammy (my paternal grandmother).

Because who doesn’t love two new blankets and Funko POP figures?!

Also, funny tidbit – she has opened Christmas presents on that same Doc McStuffins couch for three years!

She also received a few books that I purchased from a Usbourne FB party! She’s really taken a liking to reading over the past few months.

Her Uncle z traveled to Toronto from Memphis (where I’m from) to visit his long-distance girlfriend. He made a pit stop to also visit us over here in NYC. He brought her play kitchen that we had to leave back home since we didn’t have any more room in the van to take it with us. We got her brand new play food to go with her kitchen, and it was a BIG hit!

Bella’s Shopkins stash from our family and Santa! I scored most of them through random deals on Amazon, Toys R Us and Walmart.

And the rest of what she received for Christmas. I know it seems like a lot, but she actually got WAY more last year. It’s mainly just cheap items that we’ve picked up throughout the year and on Black Friday.

And this is what I got for Christmas from Dennis (err…I mean, Dennis). I got a stocking full of Reese’s and a new razor. And he gave me two shirts, a set of Disney glasses, a photography set-up and a Haunted Mansion coaster set! I bought the Wii U and Guitar Hero as the big presents for the family, but so far, I’m the only one who plays Guitar Hero. The Wii U has definitely become a focal point of the household now. It’s our favorite hobby, and we all gather around to play Splatoon, Super Mario Bros, Mario Kart, and Super Mario Maker.

This is what Bella got for Dennis. The one on the left, she picked out at her school’s holiday shop. The one on the right, I picked out on Etsy. Both are perfect. This is the first Christmas that we have all spent together, and it was wonderful. I’m so thankful for Dennis. He has picked up the slack like no other. He may not be Bella’s biological father, but there’s no question that he is her Daddy.

And, last but not least, this is what Bella picked out for me from her school’s holiday shop. It’s crazy how such a simple necklace brings so much joy to my soul. I will cherish it forever and ever!
