Did you know that by the time kids reach age 10, they will already have eating habits they will probably keep for the rest of the life? Kids respond to graphics quite well, and see that half of their plate should be comprised of fruits and vegetables, a quarter of their plates should be protein and one quarter of their plate should be grains.
I received the Dinner Set to review from Super Healthy Kids, which included 1 cup, 1 bowl and 1 plate. Even though Isabella is six months younger than the recommended age for this product, I still decided to try it out with her. I love that it emphasizes the recommendation that half of our plates should be fruits and vegetables. I don’t exactly have the best eating habits, and I try so hard to instill good eating habits in my daughter.
This will teach her how much of a certain food group/s she should have. This plate supports the USDA new icon MyPlate, which says you should have half your plate fruits and vegetables, 1/4 whole grains, and 1/4 lean proteins. It simplifies how much and what to feed your child.
It can be used for breakfast, lunch and dinner! I personally love this product because it keeps my food from touching each other. I hate that!
