May has been an extremely busy and eventful month for me, and June is definitely not looking to be a lighter load either. My mom, my daughter and me are going to Disney World and Universal Studios next week! On top of that, I’m making the gigantic move to NYC at the end of June. Funds are tight right now due to saving up for souvenirs and hotel stays. Thankfully, I came up with a recipe that’s not only delicious, but takes little time to prep and cook and didn’t put a damper on my checking account!
One of the ingredients for my sriracha meatballs recipe is Progresso Italian Style Bread Crumbs. You can print out this coupon and save $1 when you buy TWO any variety Progresso Bread Crumbs! The only other ingredients needed is 1lb ground beef, 2 eggs and a bottle of your favorite sriracha sauce (I recommend Texas Pete).
This recipe is a breeze to prepare. While your oven is pre-heating at 350 degrees, mix the ground beef, 1/3c Progresso Italian Style Bread Crumbs and 2 eggs together.
After the ingredients are mixed together evenly, use an ice cream scoop (or your hands) to create golf ball sized meatballs and place onto a 9×13 baking tray.
Space each meatball approximately 1 inch apart from each other.
Once your oven is finished pre-heating, heat for 15 minutes, then turn each meatball over and heat for another 5 minutes.
Once the meatballs are done cooking and have cooled for a few minutes, drizzle on the sriracha sauce to your liking. My brother likes to completely smother the meatballs, while I prefer to squirt it on them like in the photo above.
These meatballs are absolutely scrumptious! The bread crumbs give them a nice, lightly toasted flavor that my taste buds can’t get enough of. Sriracha meatballs would pair nicely with spaghetti noodles, tomato sauce or just simply by themselves.
- 1lb ground beef
- 2 eggs
- 1/3c Progresso Italian Style Bread Crumbs
- Sriracha sauce
- Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.
- Mix ground beef, eggs and bread crumbs together in a medium bowl.
- Using an ice cream scoop (or your hands), make golf ball sized meat balls.
- Place meatballs onto a 9x13 baking tray, spacing out 1in apart from each other.
- Bake for 15 minutes.
- Turn meatballs over. Bake for another 5 minutes.
- Let cool.
- Drizzle sriracha sauce to your liking.
- Great pairing: spaghetti, tomato sauce
