If you live in the Northeast, you know what being cold truly means. You know how it feels to have your toes go numb and your cheeks turn bright red. During the fall months, my goal is to prepare myself for the upcoming winter season as best as I can. One way I’m doing that is by making sure every member of my family (minus baby, who won’t be going outside often) has a pair of Heat Holders thermal socks.
We were kindly sent a pair of Heat Holders’ men’s, ladies’ and children’s thermal socks. Even though the weather isn’t chilly yet (with the exception of the early mornings), it’s wise for us to be prepared. Living in New York, you never know when a cold front will be making it’s way through the city!
The Men’s LITE Thermal Socks from Heat Holders will be perfect for Dennis, as he works at night when it’s the coldest. His work involves hours of strenuous manual labor loading and unloading bulky mail from trucks, and these socks will provide the warmth needed to keep his feet comfortable inside of his work boots. While we wait for the temperatures to drop, Dennis commented how incredibly soft these medium thick profile thermal socks are and how he wants to wear them around the house all the time! They keep the cold air out, while keeping the warm air in.
The Ladies’ LITE Thermal Socks are just like the Men’s, except a smaller size. My feet and calves are currently swollen thanks to being 9 months pregnant, but they were able to fit easily even under those circumstances. I couldn’t believe just how plush the inside of these socks are. It’s like walking on a cloud! I was a bit worried about my feet sweating due to the thickness, but my worries were pushed aside after I wore them for a whole evening. These thermal socks allow my feet to stay warm without making them gross and wet.
I can’t wait to wear them when I walk my daughter to school in the bitter cold mornings this winter! My sneakers are able to slide right over them without feeling bogged down or bulky.
Lastly, the Younger Children’s Socks is going to be a welcomed dream this winter season for my daughter. She’s 7 1/2 years old, and the Younger Children’s sized socks fit her wonderfully. They’re roomy enough for her to grow into over the winter months, but tight enough so they won’t slide down whenever she walks, runs and plays, as kids do. The Younger Children’s Socks fit a child’s shoe size 10 – 2 1/2, and Bella is just now a size 1.
The tog rating for the Younger Children’s Thermal Socks is an amazing 2.34, meaning that they’re SEVEN times warmer than the typical cotton socks. Bella will be wearing these with her winter boots, as they’re made with extra heavy bulk yarn. It can get rather freezing in the early mornings when she’s walking to school, so these thermal socks will make sure that her little toes don’t go numb.
