This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Reading Eggs.
Isabella is turning 4 in April, and I’m so thrilled to watch her vocabulary blossom even more. As far as reading goes, she knows the words “go”, “stop”, “easy”, “play” and “pause”. Is it obvious she’s a gamer girl? While I don’t mind her playing games on the computer, I want her to enjoy reading, as well. I wanted to branch the words she can decipher, so we decided to give Reading Eggs a go. We recently received a 6-month subscription!
Reading Eggs is an educational website where children ages 3 through 13 learn how to read and enjoy reading! They have games and songs that help make the learning process a blast!
I first introduced Reading Eggs to Bella about a week ago, and she’s been glued to it ever since. It was super easy to get started. After I registered, I could choose between three different learning paths – Reading Eggs, Reading Eggspress and Mathseeds. Since Bella has little to no reading skills, Reading Eggs was the perfect path to begin our journey.
The first lesson for Bella was the letter M. They have a variety of different games that revolve around each letter, and it really engaged Bella. She was able to breeze through the games where the letter M was visible, but she had trouble choosing which picture started with the letter M.
In addition to fun games and exciting activities, there are more than 1,000 eBooks available!
What I love the most is the map that you see above. It is so inviting and so simple for a 4-year old to follow. Isabella kept asking me why the numbers on the bottom are locked, and I told her she has to complete each level before moving on. She can’t get bored since there are 120 big lessons! There is always more for her to learn, and these lessons will help reinforce past lessons, as well.
Reading Eggs is hosting a Read to Cure Challenge, which helps the National Children’s Cancer Society (NCCS). Reading Egg has a goal of reaching $25,000 raised! They’re even going to match every donation made! I know the effects of childhood cancer all too well, as a childhood friend passed away while we were in elementary school. This is such a great cause and all donations will got to help provide financial, emotional and educational support for those children suffering from cancer and their families.
You don’t want to miss this! Reading Eggs is offering a free 5 week trial! From February 3rd til March 7th, children are encouraged to finish as many books as they can, with friends and family sponsoring their goals. All of the money from the Read to Cure Challenge will go towards NCCS.
Yes, there are prizes! Three prizes for those who raise the most money, and three prizes for those who complete the most books and lessons!
