One of my favorite things about the holidays is being able to light up candles around the house and breathe in the intoxicating aromas that they give off. I enjoy subtle scents. I enjoy intense scents. I enjoy fresh, floral, fruity, and earthy scents. I find that candles not only bring a needed wick of light into a room, but also the soul. When I ignite the wick of a candle, my soul smiles. They say it’s the simple things in life that makes one happy, and I agree with that sentiment. Candles are my “simple things” that make me happy.
I’m here to talk about a new candle that I have yet to hear about, but I’m thankful that I have now — Chi Candle.
Chi Candle was started by a husband and wife team who wanted to create candles that were safe, but also had a long burn time and a strong scent. Like the founders of this company, I also noticed that a lot of candles had a very faint scent, if any at all. I shouldn’t have to be right on a candle to enjoy the scent. I long for candles that invigorate the entire room, and Chi Candle does just that. They create their beloved candles in small batches and are hand poured using domestically grown soy wax, environment-safe cotton wicks, fine fragrance oils, and apothecary inspired jars.
We were sent one of their exquisite Oakmoss candles in a beautiful Amber apothecary jar. As soon as I opened the package, I was enamored by the rustic and vintage design of the candle. I couldn’t wait to light those two wicks and totally immerse myself in the woodsy aroma.
These candles have a long burning time at approximately 130 hours. 130 hours of relaxing myself in the warming Oakmoss scent that’s blended with green vetiver, vanilla and nutmeg and sheer petals.
Purchase It: You can purchase a 16oz Amber Soy Candle for $28. They have an array of scents to choose from, including cedarwood, woodsmoke and orange blossom.
