About GoGreen Diapers
“Launched in late 2010, GoGreen Diapers is a young and energetic company seeking to transform the world of cloth diapering through innovative, scientifically developed product designs. Founders of the company, Leah Leverich Ph.D and her husband Don Cooper Ph.D are proud -make that frazzled- parents to 3 young boys. Their oldest boys, Channing and Jaxson, were born while Leah was completing her graduate work towards a doctorate degree in Neuroscience at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, where Don was Assistant Professor. After Leah completed her doctorate, the family relocated to beautiful Boulder, Colorado to continue their careers at the University of Colorado. Shortly after moving to Boulder, Don and Leah welcomed their third son, Caleb. With three young children in diapers, living in one of the “greenest” communities on earth, it became clear that disposable diapers were no longer going to cut it – financially, nor in terms of environmental impact. Don and Leah eagerly embarked on their cloth-diapering journey and quickly became fluff-addicted parents themselves. But like so many other cloth-diapering families, they had a difficult time stomaching the hefty start-up cost of commercially available cloth diapers. They also incorporated a number of novel design improvements into their affordable designs. Using experience from their years in science, Don and Leah addressed these problems head-on in the Champ™ cloth diaper with Dual Gussets™ Technology and their exclusive Adapt-a-Snap™ diaper closure conversion system. GoGreen Diapers was born!“
For my review, I received the Tangerine Champ from GoGreen Diapers. My love of cloth diapers grows with each one I add to my fluff collection, and I was so stoked to get one of GoGreen’s Champ cloth diapers to try out. I’ve been in awe of these bad boys for a while! The Champ diapers are incredibly soft and comfortable.
GoGreen’s Champ 2.0 Cloth Diapers are FOUR sizes in one! My daughter is in the 5-10th percentile for her weight and age, so finding cloth diapers to fit her petite frame has been a bit of a challenge. Thankfully, I don’t have to search any further than the Champ diapers. I was able to achieve the perfect fit without it being too loose or too tight on her waist and legs.
GoGreen’s unique configuration of adjustable rise and waist snaps makes it great for birth-to-potty training fit! These diapers fit babies from 7 pounds to 40 pounds. Isabella is only 22lbs, so she has plenty of room to grow in them! I plan on REALLY trying to potty train Isabella when she turns two. I would have attempted before, but she’s simply not ready. The signs aren’t there. Luckily, I don’t have a problem with changing diapers. It’s an easy task, and I don’t understand how people make such a big deal about it. Since I use cloth diapers the majority of the time, I don’t have to spend tons of money on something I’m only going to use once. I LOVE cloth diapers because they are reusable, and you can even use them for your future children (like I am going to).
The inserts inside self-agitate out in the wash cycle. So, you will NEVER have to unstuff a dirty diaper again! One thing that I truly love is the Dual Gussets Technology that provides UNBEATABLE leak protection. All you have to do is reach in and pull the inserts through! I no longer have to deal with twisted or bunched up inserts like I have previously. I can spend less time sorting my cloth diaper laundry and more time playing with my toddler! The soft, stay-dry sueded lining gently shields your baby from moisture. The waterproof diaper outer keeps the diaper trim and fashion-forward! I can’t get over the color of this diaper. It’s so vibrant and fresh. I’ve never quite seen a color like this before on a cloth diaper, but I’m so glad that GoGreen Diapers decided to send it to me. It compliments my daughter’s Italian skin tone beautifully.
GoGreen Champ Cloth Diapers performed marvelously during her naps and nighttime. I didn’t put in an extra insert for naptime, but I did when she went to bed for the night. She stayed dry! It’s so hard to find a cloth diaper that will allow my daughter to remain dry throughout the night. She urinates more often than most babies her age, and I still have to change her every 2-3 hours.
All in all, I have absolutely nothing negative to say about GoGreen Champ Diapers! They get A+’s all around. I strongly recommend these to anyone who is wanting high quality cloth diapers to add to their stash!
You can purchase the Tangerine Champ Cloth Diaper for $15.95!
