Checklist For Stocking Your Nursery

This post is brought to you by Boudreaux’s Butt Paste and The Motherhood. All opinions are my own.

So, you’re about to bring home a little bundle of joy within the next few months, weeks or even days. I’m sure you’re feeling as if you’re not prepared enough. We have ALL felt that way, whether we’re expecting our very first or our fifth and final baby. The impending arrival of a newborn can seem daunting and absolutely overwhelming, not to mention costly. When I was expecting my daughter 7 years ago, I went overboard with the baby purchases. I had to have EVERYTHING, including items that are completely unnecessary. I wish blogs would’ve been more prevalent back then, so I could’ve gotten the scoop on all the baby products before I went out and bought a ridiculous amount of things that couldn’t even fit in the nursery or the dressers.

I consider myself an experienced mom, and over the years, I have found out what works, and what simply does not. Here is a checklist that you can use to help guide you when stocking up that adorably decorated nursery!

As you see, I kept the list to a minimum. I purposely left off products that I deemed pointless and unnecessary. Now that I have more knowledge about baby products, I will definitely spend less with my next baby.

One underrated product that I think is a completely necessary to have on hand at ALL times is Boudreaux’s Butt Paste.

Even though my daughter is older now, I remember quite vividly using Butt Paste on her rashes and noticing a reduction in redness and discomfort pretty fast. She didn’t get rashes often, but when she did, a blistering red rash would appear on her diaper area and inner thighs out of no where. In addition to letting her “air dry”, we made sure to stock up on Butt Paste because we knew that it was the best diaper cream in stores.

There are three different formulas for Butt Paste – Original, Maximum Strength and All Natural.

We always went straight to the tube of Maximum Strength Butt Paste, and while my daughter did cringe for a few moments when it was first applied due to the cool cream, she quickly calmed down and finally had relief.

While fast relief is definitely the goal for using Butt Paste, the fact that the formula is made with safe and simple ingredients is equally as important. Butt Paste contains no parabens, preservatives, and phthalates, which makes THIS mom have peace of mind when gliding this onto my daughter’s rashes!

One of my closest friends is adopting a baby soon (baby is still in the making!) so we’re having a blast looking at nursery and new-mom goodies for her. I remember seeing this stiff on a lot of lists for new moms.
