Bella’s Halloween 2015 Costume Reveal — HINT: BANANA

Disclosure: I received a costume from Costume Discounters free of charge in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own. No other compensation was received.

This is Halloween.

This is Halloween.

Halloween Halloween Halloween

Ahhh!! I have been looking forward to Halloween since November 1st, 2014. Everything about the month of October (which I believe should just be renamed Halloween) is awesomesauce.

Pumpkins, scarecrows, skeletons, frankenstein, monsters, goblings, witches, Monster Mash.

Halloween has especially been the root for many of my favorite memories. Just last Halloween season, we attended our very first Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party at Disney World. I wish I had the funds to go every single Halloween season. It was a blast in a trick-or-treat bag! We scored close to 10lbs of candy, and not the gross kind either!

This will be Bella’s first Halloween in New York City. We’re not totally sure what we’re going to do since I don’t know my way around here, but I know it’ll be special regardless. One of the reasons it’ll be special is because of this costume…

*drumroll please*

Yes, that’s right! Bella will be going as a (female) Minion!!

We requested a size medium, which is recommended for ages 5-7 or 50″-54″ tall. While my daughter is 5 years old, she is only 42″, but the costume fits perfectly! When I saw the photo on Costume Discounters’ website, I thought the long-sleeved yellow shirt was a thinner, more satin fabric. However, it actually has more of a sweater feel, which is great for NYC weather!

This costume from Costume Discounters includes the dress, gloves, knee-high socks and goggles. All you’ll need to purchase is black shoes, but chances are – your daughter already has that in her closet! The shoes pictured above are just her school uniform shoes.

The only problem I have with this costume is the goggles. While they look awesome, they’re not practical to wear during a Halloween party or while trick-or-treating. After just a few minutes of wear, Bella complained that they were uncomfortable, and they left a mark on her nose. She will either wear it like a headband or opt out of the goggles altogether.

This is what the costume looks like from the back.
