Bella Mama – Review

As a woman who’s given birth recently, I know how hard it is to find products specifically for pregnant women in stores like Walmart or Kroger (the stores I visit most often). The only store that carries products for pregnant women is Babies R Us, but they are highly unlikely to have natural and eco-friendly products. Luckily, I stumbled upon Bella Mama. While I’m not pregnant right now, I know how I’d like to feel whenever I AM pregnant. Relaxed, calm, collected, in a state of bliss. Bella Mama does JUST that!
About Bella Mama
All Bella Mama products are created with the highest quality natural ingredients, chosen for safety and effectiveness and blended with subtlety and care by a master herbalist, aroma therapist and natural skin-care specialist. And the are tested by the toughest critics—busy, particular, beautiful mothers.

I received the Face and Body Spritzer, which came in the Bella Bundle package, from Bella Mama to review. Knowing how I felt during pregnancy, heat is the enemy. It’s so hard to cool down when you’ve gained over 70lbs from eating everything in sight (oh…and the growing baby inside of ya, too!). In the beginning of my pregnancy, I suffered from extreme vertigo. I was registering for my freshmen year of college, and embarrassingly, I passed out. Twice. In the same day. The heat just became too much, AND I had very low blood pressure. I wish I had this Face and Body Spritzer then. Maybe I wouldn’t have been so dizzy! Just spray it on your face for a quick pick-me-up! This Spritzer has a light fragrance with green tea, aloe and rose bud that won’t upset a pregnant woman’s sensitive nose. This product is made from natural ingredients. It contains only pregnancy safe herbs and essential oils.

I also received the Belly Oil, with pure essential oils. I was one of those women who didn’t use stretch mark cream. I was also one of those women who thought they were in the clear, because I didn’t have ONE stretch mark until my 38th week! With my next pregnancy, I plan on using this Belly Oil to reduce to chances for stretch marks. Because, simply put, stretch marks are ugly! The Belly Oil also soothes the itchiness that pregnancy brings. It leaves your skin feeling silky smooth, before and even after childbirth! It is mildly scented with high quality pure essential oils of lavender and neroli. This product, along with the rest of Bella Mama products, are not tested on animals.

In addition, I received Bella Mama’s Foot Salts. It contains cucumber and witch hazel. I had awfully swollen feet towards the end of my pregnancy, and I thought they couldn’t possibly get any bigger! Well, they did. After I had Isabella, they got two times bigger…and the swelling succumbed my lower legs, as well. My mom even called my doctor cause she didn’t think it was normal. I could NOT walk or feel my legs/feet. I believe that the Foot Salts would have made my feet feel better. Just pour 2 tablespoons into a bowl or shallow tub to relax your tired tootsies.

Finally, I also received the Belly Butter. Like the Belly Oil, it also minimizes stretch marks and calms an itchy belly. It is delicately scented with high quality, pure essential oils of lavender and mandarin. It nurtures skin before and after childbirth.
