If your child is anything like mine, they want to bring every toy imaginable in the tub with them. Isabella is such a water baby, and she pitches a fit every time I have to take her out to dry her off. I am constantly on a quest to find new bath toys for her to play with because her rubber duckies are sure to be getting old.
For my review, I received the Water Blocks – 17-piece Coast Guard Set. Even though this set is geared towards boys aged 4 and up, my 2 year old daughter was ecstatic to rip it out of the package. Seriously! I had to pry her little hands off of it. She is quite the tomboy and when she saw the boat…oh, it was on!
This set does come with small pieces that children under 3 can choke on, but I always keep a VERY close eye on her while she’s bathing.
It is always the simplest toys that grab most kids’ attention. They don’t require flashing lights, spinning contraptions and other features often included in today’s toys. Kids have the biggest imaginations, and they can have a blast with a cardboard box. The Coast Guard Set opens up so many possibilities, encouraging kids to use their noggins to come up with plots, characters and ideas. It allows them to create and explore a world within their own world.
I played with the set along with Isabella, and I helped her place the blocks onto the wall. Can you believe that it only took water and a bit of shampoo or body wash to stick? No messy glues or suction cups that can ruin tile walls!
Additionally, BathBlocks can be used to teach young children about geometry, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, balance, structure and cause and effect. It will also help them with shape and color recognition. Kids learn the most when they’re having fun!
With this set, my child can build floating towns, bridges and towers in the bathtub. She truly enjoys the helicopter and boat, as she helps the boat along in the water.
We had a really fun time testing out BathBlocks‘ Coast Guard Set, and I know it’ll be a hit for many years (and a few more children) to come!
You can purchase the 17-pc Coast Guard Set for $15.99.
