It’s hard for me to wrap around the fact that my miracle baby is already 8 months old. A mere 4 months away from turning a year old. It’s bittersweet.
She has done so much in her short time here on this planet, and I cannot wait to watch her grow and learn even more. Juliana lights up a room wherever she goes, and I can already tell she’s going to be my mischievous child. Maybe it’s because I’ve been out of the baby game for 7 1/2 years, but I don’t remember Bella being so testy. Juliana is super sweet, but she has a temper and a curiosity that’s unmatched. My little spitfire.
The biggest accomplishment she’s made this month is taking her first steps. Trust me…it’s quite interesting seeing a 7 month old take multiple consecutive steps. We’re confident she’ll be walking with confidence within the next few weeks.
This girl LOVES to eat. She eats both table food and pureed baby food. We have yet to encounter a food that she doesn’t like! Some of her favorites include peas, potatoes, carrots, apples, mangoes and butternut squash.
Juliana is still obsessed with her bottle, and I’m sure she’ll be harder to wean from it than her big sister. She reminds me of Tommy from Rugrats with how glued to her bottle she is!
I’m impressed with how awesome she sleeps at night (and during the day, for that matter). She sleeps in bed with me, and I’m loving that she’s sleeping all night long now! Occasionally, she’ll wake up between 4:30-6:30am for a bottle, but she falls right back to sleep for a couple hours. She naps a lot throughout the day. I think she may be asleep more than she is awake!
This month, her likes include her LILLEbaby carrier, her kitties and doggies, her big sister, and mommy and daddy. She also loves being the center of attention, being tickled, sleeping, and getting into things that she shouldn’t.
Her dislikes include being alone, getting her diaper changed, getting dressed, anyone leaving the room that she’s in, being in the backseat of the car by herself and not being the center of attention, as mentioned above.
Juliana is very attached to me. She’s my little duckling and follows me everywhere I go! I don’t want to imagine a life without her, and I thank God every day for finally blessing me with her. I hope she grows up knowing how wished for and wanted she was.
I’ll never stop calling her my miracle baby, even when she’s 80. <3
