A Compilation of Everything I’m Already Craving…

I’m only 9 weeks along, and the cravings have been constant since approximately 6 weeks. Unfortunately, I’m craving things that either cannot be found here in New York City…or I have to jump through hoops to get. Luckily, I’ll be visiting family in Tennessee in April, so I get the yummy Southern food that Little Miracle is wanting!

Chick fil A Chicken Biscuit

This is one of those items that I can technically get in NYC, but I seriously have to make a day of it. In order to get my chubby fingers on this piece of heaven, I have to hop on a train for an hour into the city near Bryant Park. Is being on a train for 2~ hours really worth going through? Maaaybe…

There’s a Chick fil A location that’s closer to my house, BUT…they don’t offer breakfast! 🙁

Sonic Chicken Dinner

Ugh, there’s not a single Sonic within reasonable bus/train distance. In TN, there’s a Sonic practically on every major street. I haven’t had one of their chicken dinners in FOREVER. Honestly, I think I want the Texas Toast more than the chicken! Haha!

Dixie Cafe Chicken and Dumplings

I’m unsure if Dixie Cafe is a nationwide thing or not, but there’s two in Tennessee. One being within walking distance of my grandpa’s house. The best thing on their menu is their chicken and dumplings! I choose to get black eyed peas and pinto beans as my sides because beans are life. Additionally, their rolls are TO DIE FOR!! LOOK AT THAT BOWL OF C&D! *drool*

Back Yard Burger Seasoned Fries

Best fries in the biz. Hands down. Nobody else can hold a candle to their seasoned fries dipped in a cold pile of ketchup. They also have an angus burger that I’m quite fond of, but I’ve been unsuccessful at finding a picture of it. :/

Logan’s Roadhouse Dinner Rolls

Mmm. I sorely miss Logan’s dinner rolls. There’s not a single Logan’s franchise location in the NYC area. There’s a Longhorn by the mall, but it’s not the same…

Brad’s BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwich

I’m sure there’s a BBQ joint sandwich around NYC that offers a mean pulled pork sandwich, but I need authentic Memphis BBQ! I’m definitely making plans to get a family sized carry-out thing to make a bunch of pulled pork sandwiches in the comfort of home. I remember growing up, my mom would always do that on Wednesday nights.
