Baby is the size of a honeydew melon! Bigger than a cantaloupe and growing more every day!
All that baby’s been up to this week:
– Baby’s lanugo is disappearing as she gets better at regulating her body temperature.
– Baby weighs around 5-6lbs this week!
– Baby’s fingernails are reaching the end of her fingertips.
– Baby is probably lowering herself to get in position for delivery.
– Baby continues to put on lots of weight, most of which goes toward the shoulder area.
– Most of baby’s organ and skeletal development is now complete.
All that’s been going on with me:
Weight gained: I won’t have another midwife appointment until September 5th, but my weight gain so far is -7lbs.
Workouts: Nesting. Always nesting. I’ve been scrubbing walls and baseboards, along with mopping the entire house what seems like five times daily!
Symptoms: My feet are starting to swell. I thought I was going to escape this pregnancy without swollen feet, but I was mistaken. Luckily, I still have Anna Naturals Shrink My Feet Herbal Salt Soak and their Massage Oil (check out my review) that I’ll be using STAT.
Movement: She’s been pretty quiet this week. I’ve had to do regular kick counts, along with laying on my left side and jiggling my bump to get her to move.
Food Aversions: No aversions.
Food Cravings: Oreo’s.
Sleep: I’m getting all the sleep I can before the big day!
Fun and/or Interesting Things from the Week: I finally moved the baby’s cradle swing into our room!
Belly Button In or Out: Out.
Happy or Moody: Happy!
New Baby Items: I bought the LILLEbaby Complete All Sessions Carrier in Poppy! It’s SO pretty. It doesn’t fit around my bump right now, so I’m HOPINGGGG that it does once baby is born, and my bump goes down. I also bought two packs of NB Pampers because I’ve heard that newborn cloth diapers will be too big the first few weeks. Additionally, I got a set of Minnie Mouse milestone stickers, a bath tub and a foldable drying rack for cloth diapers.
Looking Forward To: Finally putting this dang crib together. Still not done! 🙁
See you at 36 weeks!
